Adam

Adam I jurk off that break my arm!
Influenced by bands like Chicago, and players like Louis Armstrong, Adam knows what it is to bring a good horn line to any song. He does this well, by creating melodic horn lines that fit perfect in the songs, thus taking on the role of horn section by himself. He's been playing since his high school years, but has been most active since Soul Taco began in 95'.

Bill Billy-o

Billy Raney

Billy Raney is a full-time professional musician with several years of experience. Billy’s talent is that of a natural musician and performer. Early on Billy began his pursuit as a career musician where he finally landed himself first place in 1991 Northern California’s Hot Licks competition and first place in 1992 local hot licks. At age twelve Billy began singing and playing his guitar professionally with a local rock band. Billy and the group made its first dollar playing at the school dance. Following, Billy began composing music and fronted the band Thrasher and Feint Tocsin. Based in Sacramento, the band Feint Tocsin earned respect performing with heavy metal acts such as Sentinel Beast and Exodus. Billy continues to write music and perform regionally. Performing as a profession, Billy often plays classical guitar at weddings, Border’s Books and Music and private gatherings. In addition, Billy continues to host the classic jam band Billy Raney and Friends. They are a summertime regular at The Sacramento Brewery’s Sunrise at the Oasis. Currently, Billy is an established guitar instructor, at Northridge Music Center in Citrus Heights California, with a client base of more than fifty students. He is also the lead guitarist for the Sacramento based band Soul Taco. In addition, Billy studies classic guitar under Brandon Yip, a nationally known performer and respected instructor of classical guitar.

Guy

Guy Jones
Guy grew up playing music influenced by all the great legends. From Hendricks to Setzer, The Beatles to Sabbath, James Brown and yes, even Johnny Q and Sid Vicious, Guy has seasoned himself with a wide array of musical interests. He's been playing in the Sacramento area for over 15 years in several different bands, and has built many good bridges in that time. As the lead vocalist for Soul Taco, his influences and talents come alive, with life filled melodies and a very energetic approach to his singing. The fact that he also plays guitar for the band only makes things better.

Ray

Ray Madonna
Ray has followed about the same path, only in Different states.
Originally from Washington D.C., Ray grew up musically, playing in the Mid Atlantic scene. Influenced by great drummers such as Buddy Rich, and Gene Crupa his style got a bit jazzy at a young age. But as his influences grew, so did his style. With Soul Taco, he focuses on blending a little bit of everything rhythmic he's ever learned with a very tight " in the pocket " groove. Ray also makes a few appearances on the guitar, and is active in the song writing
for the band.

Ron

Ron is his own instrument. Very technically inclined, as well as rhythmically, he adds the " if it's broken, I'll fix it " element to the band. He has been playing drums since high school, and uses his knowledge to fill the percussion side of things for Soul Taco. His ear is most important though. If the sound isn't right, he hears it, if the tempos aren't on, he hears it…and we fix it. that aspect of Ron helps us to make each song as solid as it can be. Ron is also the drummer in a few songs, once again adding to the diversity of the band.

Reverend

The Reverend
